The low-cost airline company “Pobeda” being a part of “Aeroflot” Group has carried 2 million passengers since the beginning of the year. This year the level of two millions has been achieved two months earlier than in the previous year. This is stated in the report of “Aeroflot” available to “Lenta.ru”.
According to the report, more than 5 million passengers used the services of “Pobeda” since the beginning of its operations. “The demand for services of the low-budget air carrier at the Russian market has exceeded all expectations. By the end of the year “Pobeda” will have carried at least another 2 million passengers” - the General Director of the airline company Andrey Kalmykov noted.
According to him, the passenger traffic for the year will amount to more than 4 million passengers – by a third more than in 2015. “Thanks to our passengers, “Pobeda” has considerably strengthened its position in the hundred of the best low-costers of the world” - he stressed. In June the global sector publication “Airline Business” has published a ranking where “Pobeda” has become the first company among low-cost airlines in the world in terms of growth in 2015.
The Russian low-coster has carried 3.1 million passengers in 2015 and took the 71st place in the world ranking, sharply rising by 29 positions. The summer schedule of “Pobeda” includes about 60 domestic and international destinations. A total of 10 international destinations are represented in the schedule of “Pobeda” from Moscow Vnukovo.
