“Rostekh” has presented an annual report on the activities of the state-owned corporation in the form of an art object with augmented reality to the Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“The report used the technology of “augmented reality” so that you can see volumetric products from different angles, using a personal mobile phone or a tablet” - the press release said. For this purpose a user needs to download “Augmented Reality” free software and scan the code located next to the product in the report.
The report says that the sanctions regime imposed by some countries against Russia and “Rostekh” had no material impact on the activity of the state corporation. Consolidated revenues of “Rostekh” increased by 18 percent in 2015 and amounted to 1.14 trillion roubles. Consolidated net income of the state corporation amounted to 99 billion roubles at the year end, and EBITDA – to 253 billion roubles. The volume of exports of military products grew by 39 percent in 2015 - up to 4.6 billion dollars, as the General Director of “Rostekh” Sergey Chemezov reported.
Civil production increased by 6 percent, up to 336 billion roubles. The report notes that the new strategy of “Rostec” development adopted at the end of 2015 will make it possible to remove the effect of sanctions and “reach the level of the world’s most high-tech corporations” in 10 years. The priority is to win the fast-growing “smart” markets: electronics, automation, control systems, robotics, and others.
