Rosneft Trading SA Company being a part of the “Rosneft” Group delivered the first batch of gasoline in the Asia-Pacific Region (APR). This was reported on the company’s website. The cargo with the volume of 200 thousand barrels was transferred to the Indonesian “Pertamina” state oil company. “This event is a historic achievement for “Rosneft”: the company has delivered gasoline in the APR state for the first time” - the release said.
The cargo has been delivered to Malaysia at the request of the purchaser under FOB terms (seller fulfills the conditions when the cargo crosses the vessel’s board at the port of loading), as the report notes. “Rosneft” sees the considerable potential of the actively developing market of Indonesia. According to the company, this supply of gasoline is the first element of the strategy of “Rosneft” aimed at monetizing of the growing demand in Indonesia.
The next step will be a deeper involvement in the processing at the market of this country. In May “Rosneft” has won the tender for participation in the construction of the refinery and petrochemical complex “Tuban” organized by Pertamina. The parties are currently conducting a bank feasibility study. The final investment decision will be made on the basis of the feasibility study, basic design (BED) and extended basic engineering (FEED), as the statement says.
