Businessmen from Iran want to invest in waste processing, as well as in the production of agricultural products, seeds and poultry in Dagestan. Currently waste processing is not carried out in Makhachkala.

"We are ready to familiarize ourselves with the investment potential of Dagestan in order to invite large investors to the republic” - the representatives of the Iranian delegation from Ardabil province (located on the southern shore of the Caspian Sea) stated in Makhachkala.

They intend to cooperate with the sea port of Dagestan’s capital, including the possibility of acquisition of the company’s shares. The Head of the Agricultural Jihad Organization of the province of Ardabil, Sarva Adil noted that the level of economic and trade cooperation between Iran and Russia had increased significantly since that year, and there was an intention is to “move from talk to action”.

Russia has intensified negotiations with Iranian companies on cooperation in various fields after the cancellation of the US sanctions against Tehran. Now the negotiations are carried out concerning the supply of engineering products to Iran, cooperation in the field of oil production, joint energy projects.
