January 29, 2017 20:06

The businessman Vitaly Orlov, owning the “Norebo Holding” company located in Murmansk, got into the “Bloomberg Billionaires Index” ranking. The businessman’s wealth is estimated at one billion dollars.

Bloomberg writes that Orlov got rich due to the instability in world trade and sanctions introduced by Russia in response to the restrictive policies of the West. “Norebo Holding” works in sphere of fish industry.

“60 percent of its sales account for foreign markets, there is also a growth in domestic consumption, because of the food embargo” - the Agency notes.

According to its information, the merchant began to manage “Norebo” in last year, when one partner sold his share, which previously belonged to Orlov, and the second partner received a sentence for blackmailing. In February 2016 he told Kommersant about the way his business was structured: “There is the “Norebo Holding” company on the top, it has two shareholders - me and my partner Magnus Roth. 67 percent belongs to me, the rest - to Magnus (the fact that Orlov purchased 33 percent from the Swede was revealed in June 2016 – the commentary by “Lenta.ry”). Next, under “Norebo” there are operating companies, i.e. fishing enterprises that fish and produce finished products.
