In November, Russia set a record for delivery of sweets abroad: more than 48 thousand tons worth 113.8 million dollars were exported.
During first 11 months of the last year it exported 370,000 tons of confectionery products by 813 million dollars, which is 7 percent more than in 2015. There is not any data on sales for the last year. But according to the assessment of the center it is expected that Russia exports 410-415 thousand tons valued at about $ 900 million in 2016. The supply growth in November amounted to 28 percent by November 2015, that is a record high statement of monthly sales. The previous highest rate was recorded in October 2013 amounting to 40.1 thousand tons.
The main buyers of Russian sweets are Kazakhstan (21 percent), China (about 15 percent) and Belarus (over 11 percent), as well as countries of Central Asia, Azerbaijan, Ukraine and Georgia. Experts note that the main competitive advantage of domestic confectioners at the beginning of the year was a weak ruble, but by the end of the year the average price of sweets began to grow. So, in November 2016 one kilogram of chocolate confectionary products cost 3.2 dollar against three dollars in the middle of the year.
