June 11, 2017 12:26

Orenburgneft (a subsidiary of Rosneft) has opened a new oil field in Bakhtiyarovskoye of the Orenburg region, Rambler News Service reports referring to the message of Rosneft. Its total reserves are estimated at 2.6 million tons.

The deposit was discovered by drilling a prospecting well at the Severo-Pokrovskoye license area. An inflow of anhydrous oil of 168 cubic meters per day was received.

Rosneft also notes that two more prospecting and exploration wells are planned to be drilled in the North Pokrovsky licensed area at the Kamyshlinskaya and Novoalekseevskaya structures. As a result, it is expected that this will ensure an increase in recoverable reserves of 3.4 million tons of oil.

Orenburgneft operates in 125 licensed areas located in the Orenburg, Saratov and Samara regions.
