Wind Farms Will Be Constructed In the South Of Russia
June 28, 2017 18:28

The volume of investments in the Rosatom project on construction of wind parks in Russia will amount to two billion Euros. It is reported  with  the reference to the presentation of the company "OTEK", which is a part of the state corporation. At the Atomexpo Forum, Gazprombank signed a loan agreement with VetroOGK, a subsidiary of OTEK, amounting to 63 billion rubles.

The money will go to finance the construction of wind farms in the south of Russia. In June 2017, Rosatom, based on the results of the contest of investment projects on renewable energy sources, received the right to build about 360 megawatts of wind power capacity in Adygea, the Krasnodar Region and the Kurgan region.

As the agency notes, Rosatom considers wind energy projects as one of the promising non-nuclear "growth points". In 2016, the state corporation won a tender for construction of three wind power stations in Adygea and the Krasnodar Region with a total capacity of 610 megawatts.
