June 22, 2017 02:49

The Ministry of Finance of Russia is going to place sovereign eurobonds for three billion dollars in the near future. At the second stage of the transaction, the old issues will be exchanged for new bonds worth four billion dollars. This was told by the head of the department Anton Siluanov. According to him, VTB was chosen for the first part of the placement, and Sberbank and Gazprombank will participate in the second placement - in exchange.

"We go out to the foreign markets, we look at price quotes, and the second stage is exchange. Everything will happen consistently, "the Minister of Finance said. The Ministry of Finance does not have a specific schedule for placing Eurobonds; everything will depend on market conditions. "We are interested in finding the best window of opportunity. We are working on the issue with our National Settlement Depository," he said. There are not any grounds and reasons for postponing the placement, he added.
