The Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia (FAS) will propose to strengthen the cooperation in the antimonopoly sphere with the UN countries, including the creation of an electronic platform, where the information on anti-competitive affairs from all over the world will be collected.
The deputy head of the antimonopoly department Andrei Tsyganov said that the FAS has prepared a project that encourages UN countries to cooperate more actively when investigating cases. In particular, such interaction may concern anticompetitive actions of world corporations and international cartels, Tsyganov noted. The project, he said, will be officially presented on Thursday, July 6, by the head of the FAS, Igor Artemyev.
"We hope that it will be supported, will not cause rejection and opposition," the representative of the department said. Tsyganov noted that those principles and rules for monitoring restrictive business practices, developed back in 1980, are insufficient in modern conditions.
