The main shareholder of Severstal, Alexei Mordashov, became the richest businessman of Russia, having displaced the co-owner of Novatek, Leonid Mikhelson, from the first line of the rating in Forbes Real Time.
Now the wealth of Mordashov is estimated as 16.8 billion US dollars. The capital of Michelson amounts to 16.2 billion. The third place is still occupied by the owner of Novolipetsk Metallurgical Combinate, Vladimir Lisin (16.1 billion US dollars). The change in the leader of the rating has occurred as a result of a significant reduction in the assessment of Michelson's wealth due to the fall in Novatek shares, the Forbes explains.
If in the compilation of the annual rating of Russian billionaires, the papers of the gas producer were traded at $ 13.3 per piece, then on July 31 – at $ 10.2. As a result, the estimation of Mikhelson's capital declined by $ 2.2 billion. In April Forbes estimated the wealth of the co-owner of Novatek as 18.4 billion US dollars and the second year he is put on the first line of the rating of the richest businessmen of Russia. The capital of Mordashov, who took the second place, was estimated at 17.5 billion. The third, as now, was Lisin.
