Foreign trade turnover of the Rostov Region in 2016 amounted to 7.7 billion dollars, including exports - 5.5 billion dollars. This was stated by the Region's Governor Vasily Golubev at the 5th International Conference "Foreign Economic Activity as a Factor of Effective Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in the Subjects of the Russian Federation" in Rostov-on-Don.

The governor reminded that the Rostov Region had been included in the twenty regions with the most favorable conditions for doing business, as well as in the twenty innovative regions of Russia.

Such results were achieved thanks to the work of regional authorities to improve the business climate. In particular, in the Rostov region, the availability of borrowed capital for small and medium-sized businesses has increased. Actually there are several regional instruments in the region that allow the business to receive loans at 5-7 percent per annum.

Foreign investors also appreciate the participation of regional authorities in the life of business.
