No Russian Brands Were Included Into the Top 100 of the Worlds Most Expensive Brands

Only three Russian companies - Sberbank, Gazprom and Lukoil – were included into the list of the 500 most expensive brands in the world “Global 500-2018” annually compiled by Brand Finance.

No Russian brands were included into the top 100 of the world’s most expensive brands. So, Sberbank with its 129th place rose by 25 lines in the ranking during the year.

Gazprom has taken the 315th line, in comparison with 2017, it has advanced in the list by 24 positions. “Lukoil” occupied the 363rd place, having risen by six lines. The first three lines of the ranking belong to the American companies Amazon, Apple and Google.

The top ten of the most expensive brands also include Samsung (South Korea), Facebook, AT & T. Microsoft, Verizon and Walmart (all these are American companies) and the Chinese brand ICBC.

The majority of brands (43 percent) included in the rating are registered in the USA. Chinese brands account for 15 percent of the list, German and Japanese - for 7 percent, French – for 5 percent, British – for 4 percent. All other brands jointly account for 19 percent.
