Petroleum Prices Grew Dramatically In April
May 5, 2018 17:00

The growth rates of petroleum prices in April were the highest since the beginning of the year. Petroleum products are more profitable to export than to sell on the domestic market, the market participants state. According to the Federal State Statistics Service, from 26 March to 26 April the retail prices for petroleum AI-92 rose by 0.6 rubles to 38.65 rubles per liter.

Over the previous three months since the beginning of the year, such growth rates have not been observed, the cost of fuel even decreased by 0.02 rubles, the newspaper notes. The government and oil companies are accused for that. Petroleum AI-95 in April has risen in price 20 times faster than in January-March combined, its average cost now is 41.65 rubles. Virtually aligned with the AI-95 for the price of diesel fuel - it went up by 0.63 rubles to 41.66 per liter.

At the same time, the prices at gas stations in Moscow are grown almost twice as fast as the average for Russia. According to Moscow Fuel Association, in April the price of AI-92 rose by 1.25 rubles per liter, AI-95 - by 1.21 rubles and of diesel fuel - by 1.26 rubles.
