Messenger For the Officials And Employees Of State-owned Companies Will Be Developed

Internet Development Institute (IDI), the Ministry of Communications and “Rostelecom” are forming a group that will create a messenger for the officials and employees of state-owned companies. This was told to “Kommersant” by IDI, as the Vice President of “Rostelecom” Aleksei Basov and a source close to the Ministry of Communications confirmed.

In addition to Basov, the first stage group will include the Presidential Adviser on the Internet German Klimenko, the Deputy Head of the Ministry of Communications Aleksei Sokolov, as well as other experts of IDI, the Ministry of Communications and “Rostelecom”. According to “Kommersant”, the Ministry of Communications will be engaged in the examination of the messenger’s compliance with the certification requirements, “Rostelecom” will provide the project with technical expertise, as well as consider other options for participation in the project. For example, as an operator and a holder of the messenger’s contacts base. The testing of the messenger will take three months. The experts will be commissioned to identify essential features of the application, the potential number of users, as well as necessary technical resources.

“Kommersant” refers to the data of the Ministry of Finance, according to which, every 10 thousand of people in Russia account for 108 civil servants.
