A unique daime collection (legendary armour), secrets of calligraphic art, gravure creatings, art traditions and methods of kimono wearing are presented in the Museum of Fine Arts in Yekaterinburg till the 12th of May, 2013.


The Russian Museum in St. Petersburg has presented the exhibition called «Hiding Places Of the Russian Sole. German view». How do the foreigners consider the Russian sole? The Russian Museum in collaboration with the «Art Line» Foundation (Moscow) has provided four halls of the Marble palace to the German architect, light designer Karsten Vinkels to express his view.


The Moscow Conservatory hosted its first ever Spring Ball on 19 March 2013. The Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory is a unique place, historically intended for special events. After the recent exhibition "Dior: Under the sign of art" ("Inspiration Dior") held in the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts in 2011 Dior is again in Moscow with the project "Dior Couture. Patrick Demarchelier" that will be one of the key events of the VIII Moscow Biennale "Fashion and Style in Photography - 2013". The exhibition includes more than 120 photographs created by the famous fashion photographer Patrick Demarchelier during two years and constituting the book "Dior Couture. Patrick Demarchelier" 2011.


The exhibition put together the works of art from the best museums in the country - the Tretyakov Gallery, the Museum of Contemporary History of Russia, Vladimir Mayakovsky Museum, Moscow Architectural Institute Museum, Kuskovo Estate Museum. The visitors can learn about the "female side" of art - the four halls host the sculptures, paintings, posters of Soviet times, photo projects made by women.


Numerous photographic exhibitions open in Moscow each year on the eve of spring. In even-numbered years this process occurs within the frame of Biennale, in the odd-numbered years it happens under the brand of the Festival "Fashion and Style in Photography". This year is 2013, and therefore, now it`s the turn of "Fashion and Style". The program of this event includes 45 exhibitions on various platforms; almost half of them are foreign.


The large pedestrian zone from Tverskaya Square to Kuznetskiy Most will be the main venue of Maslenitsa. All parks of the city will also be involved in the festivities.

All-Russian Russian Maslenitsa (Pancake Week) will be held in Pskov for the fourth time.


The Chelyabinsk Local History Museum collected the accounts of the eyewitnesses of the meteorite fall at the single exhibition.


On the eve of the holiday of 23 February and within the frame of the month of Defenders of the Motherland the Museum of History of Jewelry and Lapidary Arts with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Sverdlovsk region will open the exhibition dedicated to the awards and memorial signs of the Russian state from the earliest times and until today. “Zerkalo” is the international Film Festival named after Andrei Tarkovsky (1932-1986). It has been held in his native Ivanovo Region since 2007 annually. The participants include prominent directors and actors from Russia, the USA, Britain, France, Greece, Poland, Korea, Croatia, Romania, Slovenia, Iran, Iceland, Finland, Italy, Tajikistan, Georgia, and other countries. The VI-th Film Festival lasted from May 29 to June 3, 2012 in Plyos and Ivanovo (Ivanovo region).


The unique exhibition “Fashion behind the Iron Curtain” has been recently opened in the Russian capital and is now taking place at the State Museum-Reserve Tsaritsyno.We have already visited it and now invite you to undertake a virtual tour to the world of fashion of the last century. Have a look at elegant dresses, gloves and hats worn by famous Soviet personalities from 1920 to 1990.
