The unique exhibition “Fashion behind the Iron Curtain” has been recently opened in the Russian capital and is now taking place at the State Museum-Reserve Tsaritsyno. This event was organized as a part of the great project "The History of Costume and Fashion from Catherine II to the present day" that started in 2005.
Today, guests can see fascinating costumes, shoes and accessories from the wardrobe of Soviet actresses and ballet dancers.
The exhibition illustrates the evolution of Russian fashion in the era of the “Iron Curtain” and shows that Russian women always were elegant, gracious and stylish in spite of the political or economical situation.
