The authorities of the Russian capital already started to develop the concept of the Maslenitsa celebration and the integrated design of the streets of the city. This year the organizers propose to make the effigy of Maslenitsa of ice as one of the ways to surprise the residents of the city and its guests. The effigy will be burnt from inside, and it is expected to slowly melt. Each street within the zone will have its thematic style, for example, Kamergersky lane will turn into a "kitchen" and feed the guests, Lavrushinsky lane will put emphasis on children`s entertainment, on the Kuznetskiy Most sports games and popular entertainment will take place.

As for the parks, the festivals and pancake stalls will be accompanied by the music of the groups "Ivan Kupala" and "Vopl³ V³doplyasova" in the Gorky Park. Ceremonial games and fun, the fair of folk crafts, competitions in baking of pancakes, the demonstration of blacksmith art will be held in the Sokolniki Park at the weekend. The visitors will be able to see folk entertainment, contests for children, interactive family programs in Izmailovo Park, Krasnaya Presnya Park, other city parks and in the Hermitage Garden.
