Film Festival Zerkalo (the Mirror) - 2013

 VII International movie festival named after Andrei Tarkovsky (1932- 1986) will take place since the 11-th till the 16-th of June, 2013 in the Ivanovo Region (Ivanovo, Plyos, Yurievez).

The opening ceremony of the movie festival will happen in Plyos in Levitan’s cultural center on the 11-th of June, while the final day will take place on the 16-th of June in Ivanovo Musical Theatre.

 A scientific-practical conference “A. Tarkovsky phenomena in an intellectual and cultural area – “Mirror-2013” is a special event, arranged for the VII movie festival. Evgeniy Zymbal a historian and movie director will be the supervisor of the conference. One of its basic aims is a research of new documents from the archives of A. Tarkovsky, purchased by the representatives of the Ivanovo Region at the auction Sotbis in London in November 2012.

Two programs of animation movies - section of Russian films “Their” and “Tarkovsky context” were included to the program of the festival beside the international competition. The organizers of the festival will conduct the program “Euphory”. Within the frameworks of the program the last film by Alexey Balabanov “I want it too” will be shown on a landing stage in Plyos. Also the program of documental films “Artdocfest” will be restarted. Within the frameworks of the program a special show of a film “Viva antipods!” by Victor Kosakovsky will be presented.

The opening film of the festival will be “Angels part” by Ken Louch. It will be shown on a landing stage in Plyos. Besides, a special guest of the movie festival Vera Polozkova will perform with a poetic program dedicated to A. Tarkovsky. 

The competitive shows will be conducted in Levitan’s cultural center in Plyos and in the cinema “Spark” in Ivanovo. Some films will be demonstrated in Kineshma, Rodniki and Shue.
