Many of us are familiar with Shakespeare's creativity, his plays and sonnets. However the biography of the great playwright is still shrouded in a mysterious veil.
Visitors of the interactive exhibition in the Saltykov-Chertkovs' Mansion in Moscow will immerse into the realm of the world-famous works and possibly get an insight into who Shakespeare actually was.
The exhibition-allusion Shakespeare- Mystery 400 is arranged in such a way that exhibition space "comes to life" and acquaints you with numerous exhibits. All comers can take part in amusements, in particular find a way out of Ovidiy's Labyrinth, write a love letter to Juliette and inhale aromas of Shakesperean plays and sonnets.
Besides, visitos can try their wings as detectives and work on the "cases" dealing with the main "suspects" of the authorship of the Great Bard's works.
Each of the exhibition halls narrates about a particular aspect of Shakespeare's life and England of his time. A large-scale model of the Globus Theatre is also available in the Saltykov-Chertkovs' Mansion. There has never been a model of such size and accuracy in Moscow before.
A special place at the exhibition is given to the subject of love and lovers glorified in Shakespeare's works. There is even a unique office of Juliette's Post created here. Every romantic can take a feather and ink and write a letter to Juliette and then receive an answer from Verona.
Shakespeare Mystery 400 is a play and a riddle that enables you to enter the spirit of the Elizabethan era and discover your own Shakespeare.
The exhibition project created by artists, designers, stage directors and consultants of the Alexey Bakhrushin Theatre Museum is designed for viewers of all ages.
The Shakespeare Mystery 400 exhibition runs from May 24 to September 7.
