August 27 is the Day of Russian Cinema. Lenfilm Studio will celebrate it with free excursions, master classes and an exhibition. Besides, film lovers will watch free screening of the classical Amphibian Man and other famous hits.
The festive events will be taking place at Lenfilm Studio in Saint Petersburg from 11 am to 7 pm on August 27. The studio's first pavilion will be opened for general public in honor of the holiday.
Visitors will be invited to master classes dedicated to various professions and skills related to cinema. In particular, you will have a chance to try your wings as a make-up artist, a costumier, an actor and a dancer.
All those interested will be able to join excursions held every hour from 11 am to 6 pm. Guides will take you on a fascinating walk around the film studio, and demonstrate a rich collection of film costumes and settings. Visitors will also see a new exhibition of the film director Ernest Yasan.
Free film screenings are planned in the cinema hall. The audience will watch famous films, such as In Love at One's Own Will at 11 am, Amphibian Man at 12:50 am and Divorce at One's Own Will at 3:30 pm.
