The Music Festival ART-MUSIC Classics in Arkhangelsk will gather the musicians from eight countries.
The large music festival "Classics ART-MUSIC" started on February 19, 2013 in Arkhangelsk. Its main goal is to present the best specimens of classical, folk and pop art in one of the most prestigious chamber concert halls in Russia on the Arkhangelsk land.
The festival "ART-MUSIC Classics" is organized by the Pomorie Philharmonic Hall with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture of the Arkhangelsk region within the frame of the state program of the Arkhangelsk region "The Culture of the Russian North (2013-2015)". The concerts in the framework of the large music festival will be held from February to December 2013.
During this period Arkhangelsk will be visited by the musicians from eight countries. "ART-MUSIC Classics" will be opened by the soloists of the world opera Mikhail Guzhov, Kirill Filin and Dmitry Ageev – the performers of the famous "Bass Show". In April the northerners will hear the guitarist Remi Jousselme from France. The violinist Lutz Leskovitz from Salzburg will visit Arkhangelsk again, but this time the Stradivarius violin will be heard also in Severodvinsk. Four organ concerts within the frame of the festival will take place from February to June. The audience will be able to appreciate the professional skills of the organists from France, Holland, Germany, Switzerland.
Vocal performing art presented at the festival will also be quite diverse. The night of chamber music promises to become an interesting discovery. The performers from Arkhangelsk, Severodvinsk and Norway will meet on the stage. The finishing touch of the first festival “ART-MUSIC Classics” will be the concert of the famous ensemble – The State Academic Russian Folk Ensemble "Russia" named after L.G. Zykina.
The program is meant for a wide audience and has a deserved success among the fans of folk music.
