The annual festival “Photofest” will be held in Chelyabinsk from 26 to 29 September, 2013. 

The fourth program of the festival includes the opening of several photographic exhibitions in the regional museum: for instance, the exhibition “100 Wonders of the World” from the gold collection of the American magazine National Geographic presenting hundred photographs of wildlife.

Best reportage and artistic works of the most famous photographers of the Chelyabinsk region will also be shown.

The winners of the regional contest “Nature and Us” - the authors of the best pictures in the categories “Miass River” and “Chelyabinsk Urban Forest” - will be awarded at the opening of the exhibition on September 26.

All other festival events - workshops and creative meetings with famous Russian and foreign photographers, photography in the open air, the contest “Photographer and Model” and author's private views - will be moved out of the city.

Chelyabinsk photographers and guests of the festival will spend a bright weekend full of interesting meetings and events at the recreation centre “Nauka” of SUSU at the Lake Big Sunukul from 27 to 29 September.
