IX Music Festival “Crescendo” will be held in Pskov from 29 September to 1 October, 2013. “Crescendo” expands the boundaries this year – not only Pskov, but also Velikiye Luki will be fortunate enough to receive talented musicians.

The chamber concert will be held in Velikiye Luki Drama Theatre on September 29 at the same time with the opening concert in the Big Concert Hall of the Pskov Philharmonic Hall. The oldest orchestra of Moscow - The State Academic Symphony Orchestra of Russia named after Evgeniy Svetlanov, conducted by S. Kochanovskiy – will perform in Pskov this year.

The focus of the festival symphonic programs is put, first of all, on the pieces written for solo instruments. The art director of the festival pianist D. Matsuyev, to the joy of the residents of Pskov, will be involved in both concerts of the Symphony Orchestra.

The kicker of the concert programs will be performances of P.Osetinskaya (piano) and the only vocalist M. Bayankina (soprano).

The final concert “Symphony Jazz and the Stars of New York” with Ivanov brothers will involve the Symphony Orchestra of the Pskov Philharmonic Hall conducted by Gennadiy Chernov.

The program of the festival will be rich in interesting music pieces.
