Classical music and visual technologies will merge in a phantasmagoric two day show in the open air.
August 24 and 25, 2016 will see a vivid innovative project - the Music and Light Festival in the Green Theater of the ENEA in Moscow. Russia’s best media artists and renowned musicians – prize-winners of international contests - have created a show that blends modern visual technologies with classical music performed by the Russian National Orchestra.
Specialists of the Artnovis company, which is closely engaged in organization of extraordinary projects based on music visualization, have developed their own concept of visualizing academic music masterpieces, which will be presented with light technologies, generative graphics and 3D mapping.
The festival repertoire will consist of well-known symphonic and piano compositions authored by domestic and foreign musicians over the last several centuries.
The festival expects wide audience. It will undoubtedly be interesting both to children, and adults, both to owners of the Moscow conservatory tickets, and nonprofessional listeners.
Music will be performed by the world known Russian National Orchestra. Its art director and chief conductor is Mikhail Pletnev. According to numerous foreign musical critics, today RNO is the best symphonic collective of this country: "Great glamour and refinement of the Russian National Orchestra have made it the main symphonic collective of Russia" (Chicago Classical Review, 2011).
The orchestra will be led by two famous conductors: the winner of the RF Presidential Award Vladislav Lavrik and the honored artist of the North Ossetia Republic Timur Zangiyev.
The festival program brings together outstanding symphonic works of the Russian and foreign composers of various eras and styles: from the beginning of the 20th century to the present.
