The festival Journey into Christmas will be held in 33 venues of Moscow from December 16th till January 15th. Moscow dwellers and tourists will enjoy enormous ice slides, carousels and other New Year entertainments.
Visitors will see an open-air exhibition of "designer" Christmas trees, try a birthday cake following Carlson's famous recipy, find themselves in the European Christmas Market and keep warm with a festive drink from a copper backer. Children will be engaged in workshops on New Year cartoons and "drawing" Christmas decorations with 3D-pens. Lit up Christmas trees will decorate each of the festive sites, entrances to which will be equipped with navigation maps.
A magic village with an exhibition of Christmas trees will appear at Kuznetsky Most. They will be trimmed with toys and ornaments handmade by attendees of free workshops here. December 24 will be marked with wide scale dressing of those Christmas trees.
Every tree will be trimmed according to its own topic. "Culinary Tree" will be ornamented with candies, cookies and other sweets, "Computer Tree" will have circuit toys, and Tree from the Future will boast ornaments made by means of a 3D-printer. Stuffed and wooden toys, Christmas angels will also be used as decorations.
Master classes on cooking fairy-tale dishes will take place in the Kamergersky Lane. Visitors will discover secrets of Carlson's birthday cake with cherries and cream. Raspberry jam from the animation Hedgehog in the Fog, rice and fruit porridge from the fairy tale Porridge Pot, and pies and pudding from The Geese-Swans will also be cooked and enjoyed there. Cooking will be accompanied with the tales of how and under what circumstances fairy tale characters made those treats.
