Visitors are welcomed to classical music concerts, conversations and lectures on art, as well as demonstration of paintings by aspiring Italian artists.
The Arkhangelskoye Museum Estate invites you to a large-scale weekend festival dedicated to the culture of Italy. The Tiepolo Fest is named after Giovanni Tiepolo, one of the most famous representatives of the Italian Rococo.
Visitors will listen to a classical music concert featuring one of the best modern Italian violinists, Domenico Nordio, who will perform compositions by Bach, Bieber, Reger and Petraschi.
Moscow art historians will give lectures on Italian painting and architecture. Connoisseurs of antique history will enjoy pre-offer show of Giovanni Tiepolo's paintings dedicated to Queen Cleopatra.
The festival will be crowned with a concert of Philippe Chizhevsky and the ensemble Questa Musica.
The entrance tickets for each day run at 450 rubles.
The Festival program:
11 March
3 pm - public lecture "History of Antony and Cleopatra. The painting ensemble by Giovanni Battista Tiepolo in the collection of the Yusupov Princes". The lecture given by Mariam Nikoghosyan will take place at the main entrance hall of the palace.
5 pm - Domenico Nordio concert in the Oval Hall of the Palace.
12 March
3 pm - public lecture "Garden Theater: Villa of Lucca from Mannerism to Baroque". The lecture will be given by Yevgenia Shidlovskaya in the Parade lobby of the palace.
4 pm - the try-out of Giovanni Battista Tiepolo's paintings "The Meeting of Antony and Cleopatra" and "The Feast of Cleopatra". The lecturer is Marina Krasnobaeva at the palace .
5 pm concert The Mystery of Gesualdo Castle performed by Philippe Chizhevsky and the ensemble Questa Musica in the Oval Hall of the Palace.
