From April 28 to May 9, Moscow will turn into a blossoming city conducive to romantic walks and talks. Spring will be celebrated with fabulous flower tunnels and arches in the streets, thematic exhibitions, as well as excursions and a capella concerts. All of these and many other things are going to take place at two dozen venues of the festival Moscow Spring 2017.
The arrival of long-awaited spring, the change of heavy jackets to light windbreakers, trully spring sunshine and carefree May days welcoming to long walks, are so long-desired that a large-scale festival is vital.
Bright looks remain the main feature of the festival. The best decorators will transform Moscow again by filling pedestrian streets and large areas with flower compositions and green art objects. Take your near and dear ones out for a promenade and photo shoot for the most beautiful festive sights.
An international open-air music contest, A Capella Moscow Spring, will be held for the first time in the framework of the festival. From April 28 to May 7, central streets, station squares, house roofs and shopping malls' atriums will turn into concert venues. Moscow dwellers and tourists will see performances in various genres: from jazz and rock music to gospel and ethno folk.
In addition to long walks, a rich entertainment program with a great number of activities have been prepared for you. Come to concerts of street musicians, city games and quests, master classes, excursions and exhibitions.
Lots of children's activities will be there for the whole family: from tasty master classes to outdoor games.
An array of spring fairs will offer farm-grown products, savoury breads, seeds and seedlings, sweet treats and what not.
