May 19, 2017 13:27

On the night of May 20 to May 21 Moscow museums, art galleries, libraries, parks and other cultural venues will leave their doors open to all comers until midnight or even next morning. Special programs, concerts, performances and other interesting events are waiting for you. More than 200 venues in Moscow are taking part in the grand cultural action. The Tretyakov Gallery, the Tsaritsyno Estate, ENEA, the Moscow Zoo, the Garage Museum of Modern Art and other popular centers are among them.
Each of them will prepare an engaging and exciting cultural program for art lovers. Thus, for instance, the Darwin Museum will host a concert and a meeting with a robot, the Fabrika center for creative industries will offer free excursions and film screenings, and the Gorky Park will turn into the nook of poetry and music inspired by the theme of the cosmos.
In addition to that, brass band concerts, theater and sound performances, lectures on art and urbanistics will be arranged.
Those willing to take a night walk will join free walking tours. In total, 10
free hiking routes will start from current excursion projects.
Big queues are a usual thing near popular places. To entertain those on the "waiting lists", performers will drive branded cars in the centre of Moscow from 6 pm to 11 pm. They will make stops and perform near the Tretyakov Gallery, the Cosmonautics Museum, the Central Manege, the Moscow Zoo and the Darwin Museum.
To quickly get around the venues of Museum Night, take advantage of a special bus route that will connect all of them. You can go free of charge from 6 pm till midnight, with 15 minute intervals of traffic. Next to the bus stops, there will be food trucks with snacks and drinks available.
The main theme of the Museum Night this year will be the 100th anniversary of the 1917 revolution. Some of the events will be dedicated to the Year of Ecology in Russia.
