7th International Art Festival MYSTERIA in Moscow
June 21, 2017 17:57

MYSTERIA is a large-scale event in the cultural life of the capital city of Russia. It is mysterious synergy of creative efforts by modern musicians, dancers, artists... and artists of the 18th – 19th centuries. The legendary atmosphere of the era, permeated with the idleness of the Russian estate, is paradoxically combined with nostalgically sophisticated courtesy.
It is not by mere coincidence that the festival has got its name, causing associations with the ancient Greek mysteries. The historical interiors of the aristocratic manor Arkhangelskoye will add to the magic effect gained with classical music performed by remarkable artists and illustrated by dancers.
The audience will discover the amazing contrasts of Argentine tango and flamenco of Andalusia, immerse in majestic organ masterpieces, enjoy the music of Russian ballet and light baroque concerts. Along with the classics, the festival program includes traditional Irish and Scottish melodies on bagpipes and Celtic harps, as well as hang drum. MYSTERIA will be crowned with the concert of perennial Mozart's compositions on August 26.
