Maker Faire Moscow - International Festival of Inventors
September 8, 2017 09:23

The most famous festival of arts, crafts, engineering, scientific projects and Do-It-Yourself ideology is in Moscow again! The International Festival of Inventors “Maker Faire Moscow” will be held at the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys on September 9 and 10.
Experts from around the world will share ideas in the field of robotics, programming, gadgets, crafts and handicrafts. The first Russian version of the international creativity festival was held in the format of a mini-festival last year. This time we have collected more than two hundred participants ready to share their engineering and design solutions from all over the world!
What is it that modern people in the world are not interested in? The list of hobbies is almost endless. The team of the international inventor festival Maker Faire Moscow decided to gather people with very different interests for the exchange of grandiose, but very realistic and practical ideas.
An extensive workshop zone will give all the masters an opportunity to display their skills and talents and teach their craft to others.
At interactive stands, which are expected to be more than a hundred, you will see smart and funny robots, modern 3D printers, cool gadgets for gardeners and truck farmers, projects from urban subcultures, as well as light, musical and kinetic installations. Lectures will be held by specialists who already produce something and want to present findings, developments and solutions to complicated tasks.
This year, visitors will find a huge zone with master classes, from sewing to programming games and robotics, as well as more than a hundred interactive stands, including:

• large and small cyber dinosaurs, smart and fun robots and copters,

• digital production machines (3D Bio-printer and Russia’s largest 3D printer PrintZilla, etc.)

• smart greenhouses and gadgets for cultivating plants,

• light-musical installations and kinetic constructions,

• urban subcultures: steampunk and street culture,

• open lecture hall of leading Russian and foreign makers,

• as well as a fair, food court and music!

A special program for children will be filled with exciting ideas - from making an apron and a unique T-shirt to creating robots and launching missiles. Little visitors will have the opportunity to design and launch rockets, participate in a robot soldering marathon, customize a T-shirt and sew an apron, practice shooting and learn silkscreening, and assemble a robot from wood and much more. Many makers will gather in one place to show, tell and teach you and your children to navigate the world of arts, crafts and technology, and independently create their own projects, no matter what their age is. When? from 10 am to 7 pm on September 9 and 10
Where? Ñampus of the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys at the address: 4, Leninsky Prospect, next to Oktyabrskaya metro station, Moscow. The entrance is free, upon registration. Learn more about the international inventors festival Maker Faire Moscow and register on the festival website
