Ice sculptures that represent the countries participating in the World Cup, exciting ice slides, the Kremlin made of ice, bright performances on New Year's Eve and the daily show program with ice open-airs to DJ's tracks - the festival "Ice Moscow. In the Family Circle" is now taking place on Poklonnaya Hill.
New Year holidays are a great time for getting new impressions, engaging in recreational activities in the open air and spending time with your family. The grandiose festival of Alexander Kovtunts "Ice Moscow. In the family circle" will transform the space on Poklonnaya Hill into a luxurious ice kingdom and will become one of the main ornaments of the winter season.
This year's theme is "Football of the Five Continents!". Skilful sculptors have carved ice copies of the world's sights, which the countries participating in the upcoming World Cup are famous for. During these winter holidays in Moscow you can admire the elegant Eiffel Tower, strict Big Ben, mysterious pyramids of the Mayans and other equally interesting sculptures.
Every day the festival visitors will enjoy open-air performances, reflecting the cultural and national traditions of the countries that participate in the championship this time. Carnivals, football freestyle, bartender show, and what not - you will have no chance to get bored! From 8 pm to 11 pm there are open-air ice dances to the best tracks of Moscow DJs.
The New Year's Eve saw the the brightest ice shows of 32 countries. The celebrations started at 11 pm and lasted till the morning.
One of the most exciting active entertainments at the festival is skiing from ice slides. There are as many as 12 of them! Eight of the festive ice slides start from the Moscow Kremlin, and the other four hundred-meter rollers will be placed on the hill.
