1st International Festival "Russian Cuisine" in Moscow

Throughout the FIFA World Cup 2018, the 1st International Festival "Russian Cuisine" will be held in Moscow. June 16, 2018 will see the opening of this grand-scale event in the Izmailovo Kremlin. The festival completely dedicated to the Russian food will present a unique program full of fun, cooking and tasting traditional dishes. Those delicious treats, workshops, lectures and entertainments will not leave anybody indifferent. Abundance of savvy food and good mood - every day!
The festival program includes various thematic areas, but the culinary topic will be the central and most important one. The festival Russian Cuisine is not only about selling snacks and culinary masterpieces. This is a magnificent feast, where visitors will learn everything about the Russian cuisine: from the very beginning to the present day. Here, all the participants will have a chance to get acquainted with modern trends in the development of high cuisine, taste dishes cooked according to old recipes, figure out the differences between the cuisines of different peoples in the Russian Federation, learn how to cook rare and long-forgotten Russian dishes, etc.
The opening days of June 16th and 17th will see an interactive contest, flash mob, massive cooking of pies and pancakes, an exhibition, and what not. Be sure to grab your portion!
Bread and Circus to All! 
The festival program includes several categories: 
• High cuisine (dishes are prepared with the use of modern culinary techniques);
• Literary cuisine (dishes according to recipes taken from classical Russian literature);
• Home cooking (housewives treat visitors with their homemade dishes);
• Historical cuisine (dishes that have not been prepared in Russia for a long time, but the recipes of which have been preserved by scholars);
• Local cuisines of regions and peoples of Russia (an array of dishes that reveals the diversity of Russian cuisine).
In addition to that, visitors will be offered an education program with thematic lectures and seminars, conducted by renowned dieticians and fitness trainers. Round tables with the participation of well-known master-chefs, competitions, prizes, etc., are planned in the same lecture zone.
Besides, the Izmailovo Kremlin will house a large-scale food court with dishes of world’s modern and traditional cuisines, food trucks with street food, a fair of farm products, shopping arcades with souvenirs, etc.
Music concerts and stage productions by well-known bands and performers, as well as stars of the Russian variety stage will keep up the festive mood at the highest level!
