New Year Festival “Ice Moscow. All-in-the-Family”- Great Civilizations!

The all-favorite miraculous festival “Ice Moscow. All-in-the-Family" is back again! During the upcoming New Year holidays, Moscow will host the traditional 4th New Year Festival “Ice Moscow. All-in-the-Family”. The festival will be held on Poklonnaya Hill from December 29, 2018, to January 13, 2019.
This year the theme of the festival will be Great Civilizations! The festival will feature ice-made brightest symbols, great antiquities and theatrical traditions of 10 great civilizations, as well as many interactive ice sculptures.

10 Symbols and Traditions of Russian New Year
Moreover, there will be unique ice objects, enclosed in tents and protected from any weather conditions! They will represent Western European, Indian and African civilizations.
Every day visitors to the festival will see unique performances unfolding not only on the stage but throughout the venue! The shows will acquaint the audience with old civilizations; their culture, achievements, and national traditions will be displayed in the educational, entertainment and cultural component of the project.

Ice Moscow Kremlin 
The festival’s highlight will be a grand 50-meter ice Moscow Kremlin in the center of the square. It will be the starting point for the mysterious journey to the past through a cascade of ice slides. Two more gigantic slides, 100-meter large each, will be placed on the hill. Such a great number of various ice slides and constructions can be seen only at the Ice Moscow Festival!

Tours to Moscow
A unique street theater and perky animators will entertain children and their parents on the playground. Captivating action games will not let you freeze, while the variety of ice slides and swings will boost you with New Year mood!

Father Frost and Disco Dance
December 29 will see the real Father Frost arriving from his hometown Veliky Ustyug to take part in the festival opening ceremony!
In the evenings, all comers will have a chance to enjoy vibrant open-air disco dancing to the music tracks by popular DJs in the magical entourage of sparkling ice and lights!

The grand opening of the festival will start at 12 am on December 29.
Every Day Festival Schedule:
11:30 am - The site opening. The original program of the street theater and ice expositions
11:30 am to 3 pm - Street theater and ice expositions
3 pm - Show on the main stage
5 pm - Show on the main stage
7 pm - Show on the main stage
8 pm to 10 pm - Street theater and ice expositions.
10 pm - Closing the site
