Flacon Design Factory came to be one of the first creative clusters in Moscow. It is a place where one can freely create, self-express and just enjoy creative friendly atmosphere.
Flacon has numerous showrooms, workshops, restaurants, art cafes, and is a venue for concerts, performances, and various events. One can always find and buy here something unusual and useful for creativity, get inspired with new ideas and start creating something special.
The Flacon Design Factory appeared in a large industrial territory that once belonged to the French businessman Frederiñ Dutfua. In the 19th century and before the October revolution the plant produced bottles for refined perfumes. In the Soviet epoch it was a cut-glass ware. Now it is a cluster focused on development of creative and educational projects free from borders and limitations.
“Create whatever you want!” - the motto of the Flacon Design Factory encourages.
Flacon has several premises, where its main actions take place: The Cube (occupies 3 floors and can be transformed to fit any idea of the creator), Loft with huge windows and two-level Chair.
More than 200 publishing houses, showrooms with design clothes, restaurants and art cafes, children's studios and advertizing agencies are housed in the spacious red-brick buildings of the Flacon Design Factory. There are workshops, where one-of-a-kind designer things are created and can be purchased or ordered here.
Workshops, trainings, and master classes are regularly held in Flacon. The creative cluster reminds of a large-scale laboratory that synthesizes new forms of art.
In April, 2014 Flacon drew attention of geologists. A rare mineral of aimonium, which is used in nanotechnologies, was found there. The factory owners divided the expensive aimonium among the ‘residents’ of the creative cluster. For a year they will be able to rent the rooms free of charge. The rare find proved once again: the area of Flacon keep many secrets.
Flacon is located at the address: 36/4, Bolshaya Novodmitrovskaya Street, near the Dmitrovskaya metro station, Moscow
