Experimentanium is a large-scale interactive entertainment center dedicated to the fascinating world of science. It can be compared to a scientific amusement arcade that gives a chance to take part in work of general education laboratories, lecture halls and seminars in a real time environment.
The museum was opened in March, 2011. Its concept is to study science laws and physical phenomena of the surrounding world in an accessible and understandable way. Science here is not dry formulas, but their embodiment in interactive form and the present time. The museum exhibits — from an American truck cabin to a laboratory test tube — are aimed to wake up a child's interest in studying the world around and its opportunities.
Experimentanium welcomes visitors to look at its science fun exhibtis, as well as touch and even make various experiments with them! Courses and workshops (i.e. Thinking School, Robotics, and Young Researcher) are held here for school pupils and even pre-school kids. Children can take part in show programs, experiments and other scientific and educational events.
Six sections of the museum cover various spheres of natural and human activities: anatomy and mechanics, optics and acoustics, electromagnetism and cars. To museum visitors explore the secrets of the Universe and human body, and the opportunities of science and equipment in modern life conditions.
The museum has a film club, which holds discussions on the most engaging scientific subjects and film screenings on the topics in question.
