Little Tower House (aka Dom-Teremok in Russian) in the 1st Khvostovy Lane is a post-modernist fantasy on the theme of "Russian ornamentation" implemented by the architects Alexander Schukin and Mikhail Leonov.
This unusual "tower" is made in the original style of "Russian ornamentation". It was typical for Medieval Russia: in such houses there lived boyars and prosperous merchants.
Little Tower House that you can see in modern Moscow contains all the exterior design features of its primogenitor: there are platbands and a huge number of decorative elements of the facade; and of course, the top of the house is crowned with a carved tower turret.
At the same time the interior "stuffing" of the house doesn't concede to any modern building — there are all technical and engineering novelties here.
By the way, the unusual beauty of the Little Tower House can be seen only at the facial facade — the inner yard of Dom-Teremok is not much different from commonplace Moscow yards.
