The Hockey Museum has been opened in the sports and entertainment district Park of Legends in Moscow since the beginning of December 2016. It was already accessible to public during the World Hockey Championship in 2016, but only to those with hockey match tickets. Now all comers are welcomed to the exhibition Red Machine. Pages of History, which tells of the ice feats of Red Machine since 1954.
This exhibition presents a detailed chronicle of the struggle for the gold, the most remrkble ice exploits, memories of legendary players, videos and news in pictures, as well as a selection of historic hockey gear and personal belongings of great sportsmen.
One of the most interesting exhibits is a game stick of one of the first hockey matches, which took place on December 22, 1946; gold medals of the world championships and Olympic Games, won by teams of the USSR and Russia since 1954; national goalkeepers' masks of the 1960s - early 1970s; game jerseys of the Moscow teams Spartacus and Wings of the Soviets of the early 1950s; game sticks autographed by national and international hockey celebrities, namely Vyacheslav Fetisov, Igor Larionov, Valery Kamensky, Alexei Kasatonov, Sergei Makarov, Zinetula Bilyaletdinov and many others.
In addition, museum visitors will get a chance to try a goalkeeper ammunition on and stand in a real goal. All are welcomed to the Hall of Fame of the Russian Hockey. At present, it numbers 147 members, with players and coaches, as well as well-known and judges among them.
Tickets are available at 200 rubles at the box office of the Ice Palace VTB. The open hours are from 12 am to 8 pm daily except Mondays.
