It is the first national project that will bring together historical exhibits from various countries, collections and epochs, from ancient Greece to the present day.
The 3D-Museum of Military History contains exhibits of both public museums and private collections, which are rarely accessible to the general public and are often unique, according to Planet Today.
The collection includes thousands of interactive 3D-photos and videos of military artifacts: uniforms, weapons, military equipment, archival documents, as well as reconstructions of battles.
Through 360° visual content with almost unlimited zoom possibilities, visitors will have a chance to thoroughly examine every exhibit, which is never a case in an ordinary museum.
Thus, for instance, the visitors will be able to look inside a helmet, see a military uniform on a mannequin from all sides, examine every button of it and go through all historical photo albums. As for panoramic videos, they will make it possible even to sit in a tank and take a ride in it.
The main version of the project, which is planned to be launched in the first half of 2017, social networking functionality will be implemented, that is, users will be able to create their own accounts and exchange messages, discuss exhibits and share comments in other social networks.
Presently the site is being polished, with a mobile version underway.
