February 26, 2017 16:32

A museum on life and creativity of Anna Akhmatova has been founded at the antiquarian book house "In Nikitsky". The collection includes personal belongings of the famous poet and  parts of her office and living room interior.
The poet's museum was opened on February 21, 2017.
Visitors will see the things that Anna Akhmatova was surrounded with. In particular, the collection has books from the personal library of the Ardovs family, a printing machine or her drafts and sketches, a gospel book and a clock.
The museum collection is decorated with arm chairs from the living room, where Arkady Raikin, Boris Pasternak, Dmitry Shostakovich, and other great men got together for soulful conversations. You will ind their autographs in the museum space as well.
The creators of the museum have grand plans. They want to organize evenings of poets and writers here every month, establish a prize for beginning authors and publish Akhmatova Yearbook.
The Anna Akhmatova Museum is located at the address: 4A/1, Nikitsky Lane, Moscow
