Dear Josephine, I'm afraid you won't have much luck loking for amateur music in Russia, it's either professinal or non existent (or very bad). The professionals all practise during working hours so they probably won't be much good. I suggest you try to get a chamber music group together.

I am a voice teacher in Kansas. I am looking for CD recordings of the voice of Marina Andreyeva and have come up with nothing. However, I heard a recording of her on ClassicalMusicArchives. Where can I buy any of her recordings? She has an absolutely fantastic voice. I am wondering why this extraordinary voice is not touring the United States.

Hi, I´m looking for the name of the song performed in the starring Alan Rickman 1996 Tv movie "Rasputin: Dark Servant of Destiny" at the scene of the fancy meal in which he goes mad and dances on a table, and then insults the empress´nephew, etc. It´s a gipsy kind of song, i think. Maybe russian? Please, i´m desperate, it´s been five years, and still don´t have a clue.

Federico, You are not alone! I am looking for the name of that song, or the name of the singer from...12 years, and I can't find it still. Definitely that is a Russian gypsy song. The Russian gypsy songs are known as very passionate, full of feelings, rhythm, energy. Often they have very interesting lyrics as well. The song from Raspurtin motion picture drove me mad! I still can't find it. There are collections of Russian gypsy song, which one can by in Russa, or in Eastern European countries. That is probably the only way! Good luck to you!
