Mozart Gala. Golden Voices of Elena Obraztsova Contests

On May 30, 2018 the Mozart Gala Concert will be held in the Great Hall of the Tchaikovsky State Conservatory, Moscow. It is going to star Julia Lezhneva and open a new project of the Elena Obraztsova Foundation – the Golden Voices of Elena Obraztsova's Contests.
The concert program of May 30 includes Haffner Symphony No. 35 in D Major, opera and concert arias, and sacred music by Mozart. The performers are Julia Lezhneva, vocal ensemble "Intrada" headed by Catherine Antonenko, and the State Academic Chamber Orchestra of Russia under Alexei Utkin. The conductor of the concert is Mikhail Antonenko.
Julia Lezhneva is one of the few singers who have received wide international fame at an early age. The singer attracted public attention at the age of 16, having won the Grand Prix at the Elena Obraztsova International Young Singers’ Contest in 2006. In 2007, she was awarded the Grand Prix at the Elena Obraztsova International Contest of Young Opera Singers. In 2008, the singer starred at with Juan Diego Flores and Orchestra under conductorship of Alberto Zedda at the opening of the Rossini Festival in Pesaro. Besides, she took part in the recording of Bach's Mass in B minor with the ensemble Louvre Musicians under conductorship of Marc Minkowski.
Julia Lezhneva is the winner of the M.Hellin International Vocal Competition (Helsinki, 2009) and the International Opera Singers Competition in Paris (2010) In the same year, she made her debut at the Salzburg Festival with the "Louvre Musicians" and performed a solo concert with the Mozarteum Orchestra, as well as at the Albert Hall in London, at the presentation of the UK's music awards in the field of classical music at the personal behest of famous opera singer Kiri Te Kanawa.
Now Julia Lezhneva performs in the world's most prestigious opera houses and concert halls, including Albert Hall and the Barbican Center in London, the Champs-Elysees Theater, Pleyel and Gaveau in Paris, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Vienna Concert House, the La Monnet Theater in Brussels, Lincoln Center in New York, the Great Halls of the Moscow Conservatory and the St. Petersburg Philharmonic, and the Bolshoi Theater of Russia.
Julia Lezhneva is the winner of numerous prestigious international awards. Since 2011, Julia has been an exclusive performer of the Decca Co.
The singer’s repertoire extends from the early baroque and the pinnacle pinnacles of bel canto to the late romanticism.
Mikhail Antonenko is a Russian pianist and conductor, who has been performing as a solo pianist in Russia, Great Britain, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and Italy. He debuted as a conductor in the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory in December 2015. Mikhail Antonenko performs with symphonic orchestras in major concert halls of the world, including the Vienna and Berlin Concert houses, the Amsterdam Musikgebau, the Theater on the Champs Elysées and the Gaveau Hall in Paris, the Melbourne Residential Center, Hamburg's Leishalle, the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, the Great and Small Halls of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic, as well as in the framework of festivals in Gstaad (Yehudi Menuhin Festival), Quincy Musical in San Sebastian, Toroellier de Montgri, Peralada and Moscow (December Concerts of Svyatoslav Richter). Since 2007, Michail Antonenko has been constantly accompanying soprano Julia Lezhneva.
