From September 14 to 16, the Red Bull Music Festival will be held in Moscow for the first time.
In 2018, Red Bull Music holds a series of festivals in 15 cities around the world - from Paris, Vienna and Johannesburg to São Paulo, New York and Chicago. All over the world, Red Bull Music festivals create a space for music producers to explore new ideas and unique formats, and Moscow will not be an exception.
"Return to Banana Islands": Yury Chernavsky’s Tribute Concert
An extensive three-day program of concerts, parties and public talk shows will present Russian and world music culture in its entire diversity. You will find here revelations of geniuses, the impudence of the young, rarities from outstanding collectors, and great music surprises. More than 70 local and foreign musicians will present unexpected creative projects that unite countries and generations.
The year 2018 marks the 35th anniversary of The Banana Islands – a legendary album that became a hit of the first Soviet discos and inspired the appearance of the cult Russian film “ASSA”. In the early 90's Yuri Chernavsky went to live and work in Germany, and then in California, where he’s been living till date. For the first time in many years, composer and producer Yuri Chernavsky will appear in Moscow with his public performance at the Red Bull Music Festival and will take part in the special tribute concert "Return to the Banana Islands", with famous Russian musicians performing his best songs.

One of the festival days will be dedicated to the vinyl culture and to the people who have contributed to its current rebirth: music lovers, collectors, DJs and diggers. Vinyl Market on this day will be accompanied with sets by Moscow DJs - Timur Omar, Sputnik, Shiny Boots, Krlow, Andrey Pirumov, Mark Shchedrin, Sam Shepherd and many others.

Music From Memory is an outlet for music lovers, DJs and vinyl collectors from around the world. The showcase Music From Memory will present a few musicians who are the symbols of the label: Venetian Gigi Mazin, whose vinyl album The Wind gained him international fame, the duo of Susan Kraft and Johnny Nash, who conquered the Sonar Festival this year, and Jamie Tiller himself.
Round Robin: Improvisation with Dmitry Ustinov
Round Robin is an international series of unusual concerts, invented at the Red Bull Music. In Moscow, it will feature the frontman of Marimba Plus jazz band, Lev Slepner (marimba / percussion), music producer Andriesh (the guitar), keyboardist Linja, Buchla girl Masha Teryaeva, drummer Victor Glazunov, and many others.
