The 8th International Celtic Harp Festival “ArfaVita” in Moscow
April 11, 2019 15:21

Featuring Fabius Constable, the Dreams of the Salamander, Harp & Jazz, Sergey Kalachev, and other harp stars.
The 8th International Celtic Harp Festival “ArfaVita” is a one-of-a-kind event uniting the fans of this beautiful instrument throughout Russia.
Musicians from different parts of this country and abroad will demonstrate their mastery of playing this exquisite instrument, and hold master classes, lectures and interactive exhibitions.
In Russia, the Celtic harp is sometimes referred to as something exotic, but the number of its fans keeps growing, as evidenced by the annual growth of the “ArfaVita” Festival scale.

This year the forum will be visited by musicians from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Izhevsk, Nizhny Novgorod, and other cities. The participants will demonstrate the incredibly wide range of the harp's possibilities in music of various styles: from folk and rock to jazz and classical.
The Italian multi-instrumentalist and Celtic harp virtuoso Fabius Constable will be the guest star at the 8th “ArfaVita” Festival.

The Big Concert on April 20 will also present performances of the folk-rock band “Dreams of the Salamander” (Izhevsk), Nadya Aina (Nizhny Novgorod), the duet Harp & Jazz (Moscow), Sergey Kalachev with his African harp (Moscow), ArsNova Quartet and Olga Patsuk (Moscow), and other musicians.
The festival kicks off at 11 am on April 20. It will be opened with master classes, creative meetings and an interactive exhibition. At 6 pm a large-scale four-hour concert will unfold.
April 21 will see a free concert with an opportunity for all comers to listen to talented young music students from Moscow music schools playing the harp.
