The performance goes on its world tour. Since its premiere the musical has been already seen by more than 70 thousand viewers.
Performances of the grandiose musical, which has united the best creative powers of this country go on in the Music Hall Theatre, Saint Petersburg. The stage version of the famous novel by Mikhail Bulgakov was authored by his grandson, Sergey Shilovsky-Bulgakov. The stage directors are Andrey Noskov, Sofya Sirakanyan and Timofey Zhalnin.
66 actors will perform a true mystical magic session on stage, where the good and the evil combat. Stars of Russian musical projects are engaged in the thrilling show of the Musical Hall Theatre. The role of Voland will be played by Ivan Ozhogin, a winner of The Golden Mask award, Margarita will be performed by Anastasia Makeyeva, and the Master by the famous musical actor Anton Avdeyev. Pontius Pilate will be played by Vyacheslav Shtyps, and Anna Kovalchuk, who was Margarita in the same name TV series will appear as Gella this time.
Six librettists, applied the newest method of "situational scenario" in their work. It means that the musical combines conditions and circumstances that involve the audience into action. The latest technology was used for making 66 pieces of movable scenery; the 3D images attained do not require any stereo glasses. Visual effects are provided by specialists of the film company ThreeXMedia. David Copperfield's illusions help to create unique magic atmosphere, whereas special aroma effects totally plunge the audience into the action on stage.
The musical will be performed on October 20-23, and on November 10 and 11.
