December 30 and 31 will see the premiere of children's detective play "Beware of the Elves!" on the Little Stage of Theatre of Nations, Moscow.
The stage directors are Maria Litvinova and Vyacheslav Ignatov, double winners of the Golden Mask Award and the founders of the Trickster Theatre.
Children will plunge into the atmosphere of a police department and participate in a mystical investigation into the case of a missing girl.
The roles of experienced investigating mentors are performed by Alexander Yakin and Elizabeth Martinez.
"We are parents ourselves and fully aware of what children want to see at the theater: they do want to participate in everything that happens on the stage. We have personally plunged into the elf subject and become elfologists. We can assure you that everything you learn about elves from our stage production is true," - play director Maria Litvinova emphasized.
Maria Litvinova and Vyacheslav Ignatov - the co-authors, artists and stage directors of the play "Beware of the Elves" have been working together since 2000. Over this period they have founded the Trickster Theatre and staged more than 10 performances in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Cologne, London and other cities. The stage directors won their first Golden Mask Award with the play "Epic of Lilican" in the Shadow Theater in 2010, and the second one with the opera "Journey to Jumbley" in the Perm Opera and Ballet Theatre in 2016.
The play "Beware of the Elves!" is the second children's performance at the Theatre of Nations. Since 2014 the stage production Kindergarten of Poems after Robert L. Stevenson has been held there.
