"Phantom of the Opera" with Symphony Orchestra in Moscow Kremlin

 March 16 and 17, 2018 will see the famous Andrew Lloyd-Webber musical "The Phantom of the Opera" in concert performance in the State Kremlin Palace. The musical, which has become a revelation for 140 million viewers around the world, is returning to the main concert venue of Moscow for just two days.

The Stage Entertainment company in Russia has received an exclusive license to display three unique concerts in Moscow.The show experts emphasize that they are proudly returning to the "Phantom of the Opera" - a production adored by fans around the world. This musical unfixed all the established notions of the genre and the musical theater as a whole and became its paragon for the following decades. More than 30 years of daily shows in dozens of countries over the world – what a sky-high popularity!

The three upcoming concerts in the Kremlin is a unique chance to listen to the whole musical live as performed by its first-class Russian troupe and a large symphony orchestra. In two years of daily musical shows, the opera troupe won the hearts of nearly a million spectators.

This is a gift not only to the admirers of the Phantom musical in Russia, who will be lucky enough to get to the main concert hall of the country on these two days, but also it is to its legendary creator, composer Andrew Lloyd-Webber, right before his 70th birthday.

Now, after a 2-year break in the show running in Moscow, the musical fans will have a wonderful chance to listen to the famous arias on the stage of the Kremlin Palace.

Russian Stars of the Phantom of the Opera

The winner of the National Theater Award "Golden Mask" for the main role in "The Phantom of the Opera" Dmitry Ermak, opera divas Elena Bakhtiyarova, Tamara Kotova, and Irina Samoilova, Grammy Award winner Ekaterina Lyokhina, famous drama actors Yevgeny Zaitsev, Elena Charkviani, Alexei Bobrov and many other starts will perform together again on the stage of the Kremlin Palace. These high-end singers will present the concert version of the musical to the accompaniment of a large symphony orchestra, conducted by Kristen Blodgett, who has arrived in Moscow on the occasion. Kristen has been working with the musical since its first show at The Majestic Theater on Broadway and is currently the musical supervisor of the Broadway production. She participated in 17 projects of The Phantom of the Opera as a musical supervisor of the productions on Broadway, in Los Angeles and San Francisco, national tours around the US, and the Australian production. In addition, she was a musical supervisor for productions in Hamburg, Switzerland, Belgium, Copenhagen, Stuttgart, Madrid, Mexico City, Buenos Aires, Oberhausen and Stockholm.

In January 2018, Andrew Lloyd-Webber’s legendary "Phantom of the Opera" celebrated its 30th birthday on Broadway. The musical recognized the world record holder for the duration of daily shows, has won 70 prestigious theater awards and gained love of 140 million viewers in 166 cities of 35 countries. The Russian production of the legendary musical, which premiered on October 4, 2014, was unprecedented in the history of the Russian theater. Over two years of daily shows in the MDM Theater in Moscow the musical was watched by around one million spectators. According to RBC rating, "The Phantom of the Opera" became the highest-grossing entertainment event of the season 2014-2015, ahead of super-popular shows, television programs, concerts, exhibitions and festivals.
