"Anna Karenina" is a masterpiece of world classics about love relationship. The tragic love story of married lady Anna Karenina and brilliant young officer Alexei Vronsky unfolds amid the splendor and luxury of the nobiliary life in the second half of the 19th century.
The main characters of the musical live through vivid and contradictory experiences: love and betrayal, passion and duty, hope and despair.
The Main Characters:
Anna Karenina is a noble-born St. Petersburg lady and the wife of Alexei Karenin, who is the father to her eight-year-old son. For betraying her husband and giving birth to a baby of her lover she becomes an outcast in the society. She finds the only possible way out in her own death.
Alexey Vronsky is a young officer brought up in a rich aristocratic family of counts. He falls in love with Anna at first sight and finds out that this feeling is mutual. Their secret love relationship yields a baby girl. After Anna’s suicide, he goes to seek death in the war.
Alexey Karenin is Anna's husband. He soon hears the rumors of an affair between his wife and Count Vronsky. He forgives Anna’s cheating, but she decides to twist her fortune with Vronsky.
In spite of nearly a century and a half long gap between viewers and the happenings on the stage, the story is captivating: at all times these feelings remain alive and touching to everyone.
