Immerse in Swan Lake - Symbol of Russian Ballet - in Moscow Kremlin Palace
April 30, 2018 14:48

The Swan Lake by genius Pyotr Tchaikovsky is not just the most classical and mysterious Russian ballet. It has long been recognized as one of the world’s most brilliant paragons of choreography and the symbol of Russian ballet.
The plot is based on an old German legend about beautiful princess Odette, who is turned into a swan by curse of Rothbart, the evil sorcerer. The leading female party in The Swan Lake is a cherished dream of many premier ballerinas, but only few of them manage to make it true.
The Kremlin Palace is welcoming all the fans of classical choreography to enjoy a true masterpiece of ballet art, with dazzling harmony of music and dance, spirited performance, high-end mastery, and ethereal atmosphere.
The Swan Lake staged by The Kremlin Ballet theater is an ageless lyrical charm of classical dance, spirited imagery, and magic harmony of music and choreography. Its stage director Andrei Petrov has kept intact the ballet’s classical version created by great Russian choreographers Marius Petipa, Lev Ivanov, and Alexander Gorsky. However, he has enriched and connected some fragmented pieces for the sake of the ballet’s integrity.
The enchanting imagery of this stage production owes to expressive scenery by stage designer Stanislav Benediktov and costumes of exquisite color palette by artist Olga Polyanskaya.

Since 1997, the ballet has been the repertoire highlight of the Kremlin Ballet and consistently enjoyed a great success.
The performance is accompanied by the Orpheus Symphony Orchestra. The art director and chief conductor is Sergey Kondrashev.
