Rock Opera Musical "The Last Test" in Moscow

"The Last Test" is Russia’s first ever fantasy project that blends the genres of musical and rock opera. Be the first to see a new version of the unique musical based on the famous Dragonlance Legends trilogy of fantasy books.
The musical consists of four parts: Darkness and Light, Everything in the Name of Faith, Legend of the Gates, and The Last Test.
Raistlin, the Black Wizard, is one of the canonical magicians and villains. According to the plot, in his quest for absolute power, he decides to take over the whole world and become a god. To attain that he has to descend into the Abyss. However, once he meets Light Priestess on his way, they fall in love. Will he renounce everything he has gained for the sake of passing the last test? This is a story about love and pride, choice and betrayal, and of course about the test that the Wizard must go through.
You can get to know more about the storyline and characters from the Dragonlance series of books. Initially, the musical was created as an audio version to gain wide popularity at once.  In 2010, it was completely refined and is currently available for listening online. The audio version was authored by composer Anton Kruglov and the lyrics writer Elena Khanpira.
The year 2015 saw the premiere of the musical’s stage production directed by Ruslan Gerasimenko, a talented graduate of the Russian University of Theatre Arts. The audience was stunned with a musical show full of acrobatic and parkour stunts, as well as tricking and sand animation.
In two years the tour version of the musical was performed for more than 10 thousand spectators in different cities of Russia and CIS countries. The show was held in St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov-on-Don, Ekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Minsk, Yaroslavl, and Ufa.
In the spring of 2017, the Last Test project produced a film performance, shot by a professional team of filmmakers at the Roman Viktuk Theater. It featured actors from famous Moscow theatres. In two years of its successful stage life the project was completely ready for its final step - the creation of a full-fledged permanent version of the musical for shows in Moscow.
The audience will see a completely new version of the Lat Test musical, with new stage costumes and long-awaited scenery, as well as new material, specially written by the composer and author of the libretto.
The stage production stars well-known Russian musical performers, such as Elena Bakhtiyarova (Phantom of the Opera), Andrey Birin (Ghost, Vampire Ball, The Beauty and the Beast) and Rostislav Kolpakov (Count of Monte Cristo, Jekyll and Hyde, Vampire Ball).
